Dealer Comments
The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu LS is a stylish, comfortable, and efficient midsize sedan designed to make everyday driving enjoyable. With its modern design, turbocharged performance, spacious interior, and impressive collection of safety features, this Malibu offers an excellent balance of practicality, comfort, and value. Whether you're commuting to work, running errands around town, or heading out on a weekend road trip, this sedan is ready to deliver a smooth and confident driving experience.
Under the hood, you'll find a 1.5L turbocharged DOHC four-cylinder engine with direct injection and Variable Valve Timing, producing 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Paired with front-wheel drive and an efficient 3.23 final drive ratio, this engine provides responsive acceleration while keeping everyday driving economical. The automatic engine stop-start system is designed to help conserve fuel when the vehicle is stopped, adding another practical benefit to this well-engineered powertrain.
The Malibu's driving experience is enhanced by a MacPherson strut front suspension and independent four-link rear suspension, helping provide a comfortable and controlled ride. Four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, Duralife brake rotors, and high-performance brake linings deliver dependable stopping performance. StabiliTrak stability control with brake assist and traction control helps maintain vehicle stability, while Hill Start Assist provides added confidence when pulling away on an incline.
Safety is a major highlight of this Malibu LS. It features 10 airbags, including frontal and knee airbags for the driver and front passenger, seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and roof-rail airbags for front and rear outboard passengers. Additional protection comes from the Passenger Sensing System, rear child security door locks, and LATCH child-seat anchors. The Rear Vision Camera makes backing into parking spaces easier, while the Tire Pressure Monitor System helps keep you informed about tire conditions. Daytime Running Lamps and a safety manual trunk release add further thoughtful details.
Inside, the cabin is designed with everyday comfort and convenience in mind. Enjoy power windows with Express-Down functionality on all windows, keyless start, manual air conditioning, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering column that helps you find a comfortable driving position. The six-way adjustable driver and front passenger seats provide personalized comfort, while the 60/40 split-folding rear seat allows you to expand cargo space when needed. A rear center armrest with cupholders, seatback map pockets, dual vanity mirrors, and a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet make daily trips more convenient.
Additional features include a Driver Information Center with a monochromatic display, outside temperature and compass displays, rear-window electric defogger, acoustic laminated windshield and front side glass, automatic headlamp controls, and a six-speaker audio system.
With its turbocharged efficiency, comfortable interior, thoughtful storage, modern conveniences, and comprehensive safety equipment, this 2016 Chevrolet Malibu LS is an excellent choice for drivers looking for dependable transportation with plenty of everyday versatility. It's a practical sedan that makes every mile count.
