A good pickup truck is a vehicle like no other, whether it’s for hauling or just a good ride with friends. Everyone wants to find their glass slipper, and when it comes to the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 there are so many trim options that the perfect one is somewhere out there for you.
Work Truck
This trim is the only of the 2021 Silverado 1500s that comes available in the regular cab with long bed configuration. You have the option to get this trim in 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive. It is the cheapest of the trims, but it comes with 4 different engine options and a max towing capacity of 10,000 pounds.
Custom
The Custom is available in both 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive but the crew cab with a standard bed is only an option for it in 4-wheel drive. Pricing for this one starts at $38,195 but it comes with more base features than the Work Truck and is more customizable. The Custom maxes out at 9,700 pounds of towing capacity.
Custom Trail Boss
Custom Trail Boss only comes in 4-wheel drive with standard features such as off-road suspension and skid plates making it very capable for driving off-road. The towing on the Custom Trail Boss reaches about 9,400 pounds. The starting price on a new one of these is at $43,395.
Luxury Touring
The Luxury Touring trim is abbreviated as the LT and is the least expensive trim available with the Duramax Turbo-Diesel 10-speed engine as an option. Designed more for on-road driving, the pricing for them starts at just under $42,000. If you get the LT the maximum towing capacity at your disposal will be around 11,500 pounds.
Rally Sport Truck
Commonly known as the RST, the Rally Sport Truck is the highest end of Silverado 1500s that comes in the double cab and standard bed configuration. The RST has the most engine choices with 5 and reaches up to 13,300 in towing capacity. Similar to the LT, it is designed to be more luxurious both inside and out.
Luxury Touring Trail Boss
The LT Trail Boss as it is called comes exclusively in 4-wheel drive and with a crew cab. It combines the niceties of the LT with the off-road capabilities of the Custom Trail Boss. The starting price on these is $53,195.
Luxury Touring Z
Luxury Touring Z is referred to as the LTZ for short and is basically the LT on steroids. It has way more amenities and standardized luxuries while also being more advanced at its most basic level. It also has a higher towing capacity than the LT at about 12,100 pounds to its 11,500.
High Country
The High Country is the most popular of the Silverado 1500 lineup and for good reason. It is essentially a culmination of every other trim’s utility and luxury put into one package. It has the sleekest exterior, the highest quality tech on the inside, the most customization, and a towing capacity of just under 12,000 pounds.
